The development of private industries in Indonesia has opened up vast employment opportunities. Lots of industries requires workers with educational background of chemical engineering, such as the textile industries, chemicals, food, fertilizer, etc.. It not only graduates undergraduates but also a lower level such as diploma. Our education system is designed based on competency-based curriculum, so that graduates are ready for work.

Diploma in Chemical Engineering organized by SK No. 363/DIKTI/KEP/1998 on the Formation of Diploma Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University. Which originated from APTN (1968) turned into ATN (1974), then switch become FNGT (1983). This last policy forces these FNGT removed and turned into a diploma program as yet.
